The Brief
The project was originally tendered prior to our involvement and was split into two parts the first phase was completed by alternative company. We tendered for phase 2 through the NEUPC contract and were successful. The brief which was well defined by the architect was as follows 'The University of Leicester was seeking a partner to supply, delivery and install furniture to create a bright, vibrant & collaborative student area within the David Wilson Library situated on their main campus'
The Solution
Our ability to react quickly to meet the project program was our key strength. Placing orders with our suppliers before receiving an official order ourselves meant we could keep the project on track. This highlights one of our mantras that 'We are commercial not contractual' We understand that the proper paperwork sometimes takes time in some organisations.
With the product ordered we can focus on liaising with the main contractor and other trades to establish a delivery and install program which worked with and around all parties. The installation was completed over the course of one week carefully working around over trades whilst maintaining the utmost care at all times to ensure the other half of the library (which was still operational) wasn't disturbed.
