Brief
Autotrader made the decision to refurbish two of their existing floors totalling 40,000 sq. ft and to also take an additional 10,000 sq. ft in the building whilst it was vacant with staff working from home during the pandemic. The newly refurbished office would provide a new post-Covid workplace allowing greater space for individual workspaces, together with a whole variety of shared spaces to allow for the increasing number of virtual meetings taking place.

Supply and deliver
The scope included removing and storing some 600 bench workstations and stripping out the existing fixtures and fittings back to CAT A. New open-plan flexible meeting spaces were created to allow varying numbers of staff to attend meetings, as well as the installation of individual quiet focus rooms together with a large variety of shared work settings. The work was staggered to allow both floors to be refurbished at the same time pending staff returning to the offices in June earlier that year.
