Managing our environmental impact

“consolidation of deliveries & maximisation of loads”

Some time ago we sat down and discussed how we could run our business in a more efficient and effective manor, back then big changes were made to implement this and at the same time reduce our carbon emissions.

The changes

Outsource our transportation to specialist companies to take advantage of the consolidation of deliveries and maximisation of loads. Also routing and scheduling vehicles helps to minimise mileage whilst continuing to meet customer demands across the country.

Outsourcing warehousing operations to specialist locally positioned companies to reduce energy consumption by sharing and managing furniture distribution all under one roof.

“Sowing the seeds of change into our team to work, act and be conscious  of how they carry out their day to day activities will ensure that in the future  acting environmentally  will become second nature ”.

At Wagstaff we realise, that due to the nature of our business our carbon emissions are relatively low. (see article on How are we doing?)

As well as the fundamental changes we have made to our business over the years, we have also made a series of small internal steps across our company regionally, to help reduce our environmental impact even further, we realise that these small steps can make a BIG difference if we all get involved.
