Wagstaff were requested to tender for this £1.4 million project in the heart of central London. The team worked hard to produce a first-class tender response which got us down to the last 3 to be invited to present our strategy for the project in a face to face interview with the client.


The interview was a success and we were awarded the contract. During the interview we learned of the extremely tight project timescales so we jumped into action the very next day organising meetings with the fantastic project team and engaging with suppliers by pressure test their tendered pricing and see if this could be improved on. 80% of the project was real wood veneer case goods, working with the client we focused on selecting the best candidate for this element in terms of price, quality, flexibility and after sale service as we needed to engage them right away to meet the program. W J White emerged to be the most suitable choice and after a full office mock up was produced and agreed, they were set to work.

Phase 2 Loose Furniture

We were lucky enough to have a fully defined furniture brief by the architect full of beautiful products. The total sum of the scheme exceeded the clients budget so we were tasked with bringing costs down and finding alternative products whist keeping the aesthetics and high quality. Working sympathetically with the architect and client we worked through all the options to make final choices, we even dedicated our entire showroom to Carlyle so they could see all the furniture options in one place side by side. After a few more furniture showroom visits we’d agreed on all the pieces and after specification and finishes checks were made the loose package was ordered.

Phase 3 meticulously planned installation

Multiple supplier deliveries were collated at our local regional distribution hub whilst fragile and larger items were delivered direct to site all deliveries were scheduled with the loading bay. We work with the client to tailor the install to individual employees requirements for over 200 staff.

The project ran smoothly thanks to a great project team the client and staff are very happy with the project and their new office space.
